Domains of Psychic Perception and Influence

A lot of discussions in typical communities that touch on psychic subjects use words like sensitive, aware, intuitive, etc to describe how a person is psychic. You might hear them describe the information they passively get as a range. You might even hear words such as energy fields. These archetypes also show up in media and literature Those words, phrases, and archetypes are pragmatic within the context of various paradigms – especially energy healing and energy working paradigms; however, they are not very accurate. Instead of fields of awareness, ethereal energy, and sensitivity, you have an ontological realm of knowledge and information defined by domains of perception.

Sensitivity refers to a threshold of an organ to mediate a sensation. Examples of sensitivity are the lowest decibel you can hear and how far can you see a chart and make out the letters on it. Perception facilitates apprehension of sensations that are experiences. We are aware that we are sensing something. An interesting property of human consciousness is the ability to conceive of and apprehend things that we do not sense. A formation of sensations is not required to induce perception. A lot of the lexicon and ideas that are popular in literature and media concerning psychic abilities assume that it is an issue of sensitivity; however, it is really about perception. You are technically not sensing anything, because there is no sensory organ involved; rather, you are apprehending an experience I.e. perceiving something where there is a relationship between that thing and your experience.

Consciousness and Chaos

The ability of human consciousness to internally model things and be aware of modeling those things is enabled by dynamical aspects of human consciousness. The chaos of being a dynamical system and the randomness of being stochastic allows for perception of experience to happen without sensation. Contrary to how we think about chaos, chaos is typically ordered and determined though uncertainty emerges from that chaos. When I am mindful of an experience, I am aware of being aware of an experience. You end up with nested “meta” levels that contain information about something in the interiors of a system of consciousness. It is counter-intuitive but having a nested system of things that are similar can create patterns that don’t resemble the form of one of the images by itself. That holistic system of fractals extends the chaos inherent in consciousness and that is why consciousness is holistic. Those holistic properties allow us to have internal experiences that don’t come directly from external stimuli. Examples of holistic structures of fractals that show up in living things frequently are the Sierpinski triangles and Pascal triangles. Higher dimensional versions of Sierpinski and Pascal triangles are called Sierpinski and Pascal simplices. These simplices are important to how consciousness creates a sequence of holistic fractals of itself from internal points. Chaos game algorithms are algorithms that demonstrate the relationship between fractals and chaos because the result of chaos games can be a fractal.

Psychic Domains

I was born with the ability to psychically perceive a lot of things. I was born with the ability to perceive, experience, and know the thoughts of others, past events, future events, germs inside a person’s body, molecular structures, and a variety of other things. This is not because I am more sensitive to anything; rather, I am able to have veridical experiences about events, objects, and people that are accurate. An abstraction for possible valid relationships and things is referred to as a domain. Think of it as the answer to the question, “What possible things can I perceive psychically?” At first glance, this seems like an aura or a field, but it is not an aura or field. It is a collection of relationships and correlations.

I have an ability to perceive the history of objects whether past histories or coherent future probabilities. A common idea you hear about how this may work is that objects and events have ethereal energies and that by becoming sensitive to these ethereal energies, you can facilitate this ability. There does not need to be ethereal energies to mediate any information. There are probable events in the future and there are certain events in the past, and an experience about probable future events or certain past events is about and thus references probable futures and certain past events. There is a relationship because my experience “points” to those histories, and if my experience is veridical in the form of being accurate of real things, this means that the relationship is a valid one because there is a relationship between my mind and something independent of my mind. It being a valid relationship implies that there is a domain of knowledge about objects that I can perceive without sensation I.e. my psychic domain. There are correlations whose symmetries have information where that information can change attributes of correlated things such as the bidirectional thoughts of people or whether a glass is moving across a table.

People seem to have varying psychic domains. There are different things that people can psychically interact with. The cardinality of possible domains is infinite and who gets what seems to be idiosyncratic, so labeling them is not very meaningful albeit over time terms like telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, and other terms like that have been coined. The problem with those terms is that the scope of one term is redundant relative to another and the ability of people to interact with things within the scope of that term varies. Experiments show that telepathy and clairvoyance bleed into one another and that clairvoyance and precognition are the same. Calling someone a telepath doesn’t tell you what sort of thoughts of what magnitudes they interact with the same way calling someone clairvoyant does not tell you if they can perceive and interact with things like X-rays or sense the molecular structure of various chemical compounds. Some people can perceive the cognitive aspects of a person’s experience relatively easy whereas some people can perceive the sensory aspects of a person’s experience. Some people can perceive future events easily. Some people can perceptive past events easily. I can perceive the organs inside a person’s body and my fiancé can perceive weather patterns. A domain is an abstraction for a collection of the relationships between your experience and various objects, events, and entities. There are many ideas about why it is idiosyncratic, but I am not going to go into them here.

Fields, Energy, and Influence

Psychic domains are not psychic fields in themselves albeit they can have psychic fields. A psychic domain is an abstraction of valid possible things and the relationships among those things as integrated by some phenomenal collection of dimensions. A way to think of it is that it is the totality of all possible “inputs” that are valid concerning a psychic action. Fields are abstract structures. One type of field is an abstraction of Abelian groups where it consists of additive and multiplicative pairs that satisfy field axioms: associativity, commutativity, distributivity, identity, and inverses. Another type of field is an abstraction for the potential for anything within a given domain to change or be influenced at all points of that domain. Whenever a person perceives the experience of another psychically, they change because of that perception, so within the domain of possible things they can interact with, like the experiences of another person, there is the potential for the configuration of internal experiences to change such that knowledge about another person’s experience can be acquired.
